Marissa is the proud owner of VanGennip Insurance & Financial Services. She graduated Leopold High School in 2008 and went on to get her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2013. She started the agency in 2018 and has hit the ground running ever since! She currently lives in Benton with her husband, Lucas and two children. She loves spending her time with them and traveling. She also loves to read, when she can fit that into her spare time… Which is few and far between these days!

When starting the agency, she imagined an agency where the client would come first. Marissa wanted to help clients prepare for the unexpected, to be able to help them lessen the traumatic effects of inevitable disasters and uncontrollable events that often happen in life. An agency where anyone – no matter their station in life – could walk in or call, talk to a knowledgeable agent, and get the answers to any and all questions.

Ashley is a 2003 graduate of Woodland High School and has been part of the insurance industry for over a decade, joining the VanGennip Insurance Agency in 2015. She met the love of her life, Chase, in 2008, and together they have built a full and busy life raising their two sons, Layton and Lance. Ashley and her family have spent countless hours on the sidelines cheering on their boys and remain actively involved in the community and youth sports. She and her husband are passionate about giving back and frequently volunteer at community fundraisers and events that support youth athletics and other local causes.

With firsthand experience of how busy and unpredictable life can be, Ashley understands the importance of having the right insurance in place—and ensuring it fits within each client’s budget. She is committed to helping her clients find the right coverage at the best possible price. Whether it’s insuring a home, vehicles, business, farm, or family, Ashley is dedicated to helping safeguard everything her clients have worked so hard to build.

A Southeast Missouri native, Tonya graduated from Scott City High School and went on to graduate from the University of Missouri as a true fan of the Tigers. Her years as an educator have laid the foundation for a career with an agency that is service focused, putting the customers and their needs first.

She is the proud mother of five children; four daughters and one son. Four of her children graduated from Kelly High School and have gone on to their respective careers or college, with her son currently serving in the US Navy on a submarine. Her youngest daughter is still in school and is an avid dancer with a local dance studio.

Knowing how important it is in today’s economy to get the most value and best service, she is dedicated to serving her clients with integrity and respect.
